Doc Rivers got his head on straight and started using his youth!
Gary Trent is now on the bench and Andre Jackson starting. Just the Jazz, yes, but it was Jackson who gave the needed boost to the defense while still being as annoying as possible to whoever he was guarding. 4 steals, 4 assists, added some spice to the offense without trying to take too much. He knocked the ball off the rebound to Portis, and Giannis generally was a sight to behold. A flower sprouted from the concrete in this team because it is scary to look at half-dead idols like Lillard, Giannis, Lopez with all due respect. But the problem of Jackson is still too quick accumulation of fouls. I hope that this will remain marked "for now", due to his age-22 years old-and his lack of experience.
Special praise goes to AJ Green, who stretched the perimeter and scored 4/7 from beyond the arc, something that was especially lacking lately given the decline in percentage from Lopez and Trent.
Come on lets go, don't forget to release the guys more. 0 reply

Derrick Rose has retired.
The debate, which will be endless, pertains to his flash-like career meriting mention in the Basketball Hall of Fame. And of course, for a long time thereafter, the discussions of whether he deserved his MVP award, as if LeBron was robbed.
To me, there are two moments that stand out in his career. The first is the fact that he sustained an awful injury and had to change his whole game without athleticism, which, may I say, he did quite well.
There's a second that, yes, he had only three seasons of bright highlights, but those three seasons are going to be etched in many memories for years to come. That's in comparison to any player who spent his supposed 10+ seasons just hanging around the league without much to remember him by, like Michael Beasley, for instance. 1 reply
