Derrick Rose has retired.
The debate, which will be endless, pertains to his flash-like career meriting mention in the Basketball Hall of Fame. And of course, for a long time thereafter, the discussions of whether he deserved his MVP award, as if LeBron was robbed.
To me, there are two moments that stand out in his career. The first is the fact that he sustained an awful injury and had to change his whole game without athleticism, which, may I say, he did quite well.
There's a second that, yes, he had only three seasons of bright highlights, but those three seasons are going to be etched in many memories for years to come. That's in comparison to any player who spent his supposed 10+ seasons just hanging around the league without much to remember him by, like Michael Beasley, for instance. 1 reply
