Building /quilibrium Now that the convergence issue was solved, this week has been a speed run to get multiple items over the finish line. The first that made it over the line was reworking how much of the hypergraph is held in memory if that portion of it is stored locally. We are churning rapidly through the mainnet data into this new format so we can all start from the same baseline in testing. Alongside that has been preparing a sidecar to start QCL testing without directly depending on the current mainnet import being completed. This will land before the week is over, likely Saturday given other objectives in flight. Some of those objectives are opening up QStorage and QKMS via QConsole for early use to any builder on Farcaster, as well as others who have reached out to me for access. This will provide a _free_ (up to 5GB) way to host your mini apps, complete with MPC-based key management via QKMS. Theres a few other surprises in store with it, but they're better seen and used than said. Onward!

So what does this mean for Q? Nothing. If there are ethical investors in this space that agree with our position, we're still happy to chat. If it means I have to bootstrap this company because this bridge conflagration of a cast engulfed the entire collective of crypto funds? I'll do that. This is a crusade, not an "incredible journey". If you're a fund and feel these casts were about you, go ahead and let us all know that in the replies. It spares me the effort of the name and shame, and I've got receipts anyway. If you're a founder that wants to make a change in this industry? Join me on this crusade, and set the same standard: no crypto warrants, only fair launches. Let's make this industry cypherpunk again.

Years ago, when I started building a decentralized discord clone, people asked me why. I wanted a communication tool that was truly decentralized, in a way that no state actor was able to gain control over. Signal's design wasn't capable of group chats beyond a certain size. The features only went so far. And it has failure points such that countries block them by firewall and have to rely on the good graces of others to run proxies, which ultimately get shut down or blocked too. App stores do not share in this ideal — their concern is profit, and will bend backwards when forced to by regulatory bodies. Amazon and others are complicit in helping state actors maintain their control of the web, and are profiting handsomely from the arrangement. None of this happened by accident. And I only saw it getting worse. I realized what I was building in this chat application went beyond just chat, and how pressing it was to make this general purpose.

Only the second new protocol over the last 4+ years I’ve been excited for. The fair launch process, disruptive tech, based community built over ~12 months contributing without reward and cyberpunk ethos. Truely feels different.
