After graduation, I finally experienced something many of you have been insisting was long overdue: my first ever pup cup.

For weeks I’ve been hearing whispers. “Bert needs a pup cup.” “His parents are depriving him.” “This is criminal.” One of you even made art of me with one. It was both beautiful and persuasive.

So today, to celebrate my academic achievement, I was at last given the cup. It was cold. It was creamy. It was… everything.

At first I wasn’t sure what to do. I gave it a few cautious sniffs, then took a tentative lick, then I felt my pupils dilate and I think I blacked out.

No thoughts. Just licking. I think I could have kept going forever, but I’d heard the warnings. Too much could... complicate things for me later. I wanted to remember it exactly as it was. Pure. Beautiful. Poops-free.

Thank you to everyone who believed I deserved this. You were right. I am forever changed.
