As for me, I found myself in the world of crypto back in 2015 when my college roommate at IIT Bombay was working on creating a distributed ledger implementation. He convinced me to invest my entire salary from Amazon into BTC and ETH.

I've been one of the founders of our hacker space and someone has dropped mention on mailing list in 2010 of some distributed algo gold. Then I followed into rabbit hole. Rest is history 😌

Started following crypto in 2016 as a VC associate, been reading whitepapers ever since :)
