if you’re a tech type person and are looking for a side quest may I suggest picking up drawing. it’s a skill that anybody can learn and what it really is is learning how to see. costs nothing, can do it anywhere and if you peck away at it diligently you can be better than 99.9% of the world in about a year. rewires your brain in unexpected ways.

did it come natural or you had to learn?

Maybe there is a raw talent component that distinguishes the truly elite artists, but you can still get *really* good (ie enough to produce work you’re proud of, impress your peers, whatever) with just consistent effort and practice. That would apply to most creative fields I think.
