Good point. But how when do hubs permanently delete casts after all deltas being merged?

The problem with _everything_ being on-chain is you can no longer ever delete it which breaks several privacy laws

Good point ser. fc need data availability and consistency. So this is more of a if blockchain is overkill for this use case question.

The main purpose for a blockchain (as in cryptocurrency) is to form consensus on tx serialization. However, Farcaster doesn’t need this property. Eventual consistent with CRDT is sufficient and much more efficient. Engineering is about real world trade-offs, a single solution that fix everything doesn’t exist.

Hub is just a workaround expensive block space 

There will be no hubs, protocol logic will live fully on an app chain
