Users seem to mostly only care about entertaining or useful content, community. Owning their content may be secondary

i agree and this is an incentives problem because it's important for it to be open but there is little incentive to prioritize that i guess building for developers adds pressure to prioritize protocolization

while building for developers where developers only care about users you could give them. So might as well just do whatever to attract users and go "trust me bro" for the developer features. only difference being "can't be evil vs won't be evil"
