I often hear people say they want to move out of the city to raise kids.

But ironically the best place I can think of for my future kids to grow up would be Manhattan. That’s what I would have wanted for myself if I had known it was an option.

You ought to see how you're thinking once you have kids.

I can see anyone debating why the city could be terrible but I respect anyone who has their reasons for better living in a city--exposure to a lot of culture, lot of people, ideas, etc.

That said, I wanted to live in a city too and moved out to suburbs.
