This piece was originally found on Async.art as a programmable, interactive community artwork. Sitting above the base painting was a hexagonal grid of 'layer' NFTs. Each numbered hex was independently collectible, and perhaps most importantly, changeable.

Every tile layer NFT contained four 'states' - red, blue, yellow, and empty. Using tile 0,0 as an example, we can see this colour change also had an impact on surrounding tiles in a honeycomb pattern - you could affect your neighbours' tiles and be affected by all of their colour choices too.

Every tile was also individually named and described - some came with elaborate backstories and others were a simple play on words Fittingly, tile 0,0 is called 'The Beach of All Beginnings'.
