Today’s hanami spot. I caught the start of the parade and now they are walking around the precincts and will return in 2 hours. Meanwhile the crowd has followed them and the cherry garden is EMPTY! It was planted in 945 by order of Emperor Kazan and the shrine has held a Sakura Matsuri every year since! There are 500 trees and we are looking for Gyoiko blossoms today. They are GREEN. I hope to find them. Wish me luck! They are rare.

They are so beautiful and i hope you find then cause i would love to see green sakurass!!! Never knew they came in that colour too
