PSA: i love discovering new, great content, but mass tags (tagging 10 people in a post) often aren’t the best way to get my attention

mass tags come across as spammy unless they are intentional with a clear reason

if you share something via DC and tell me why it matters, i’m way more likely to engage or amplify!

Farcaster is definitely different from other social medias and i love and hate it at the same time.

Usually on other apps I’d prefer to tag someone to get their attention on a post and I actually love that on here it’s preferred to DC your content to people. 

Although I definitely need to unlearn this cause i always think people only DC friends. Love to see things are different here🥹💜

Oh reallyyy i dont use twt so i wouldn’t know haha😅
And honestly i do agree that it is very spammy to tag a lot of people at once except for certain situations

also even on X, mass tags are super shadow banned

yeah, this is a cognitive dissonance i also face. funny how you just get used to random set norms around you

Ohh yes I do that sometimes but was always on the fence of whether it was spammy or not
Glad to see you think its not the same as mass tagging, always love learning how to be a better caster on here

fwiw i do cc @[username] here if i think a friend will find something interesting that i see, but i see that as separate from mass tags
