remember demo discs (i still remember some on floppy disks! 👨‍🦳)? and often there was a lot of configuration to do on your local, but you still suffered through it in order to access/play whatever was on the disc. is there any way to recreate this for web3 other than handing people pregenerated wallets?

I studied CS, spent my life on that floppy demos😅. Perhaps it is a floppy still but it has a qr code for.a download or a video to watch. On AR 😅

Thinking about it there was a farcaster party in denver in 2023. A chap gave me a yellow floppy. If I find it I will let you know what it is doing.

The qr code is their website. https://portal.fileverse.io/ ( I hid it because I was not able to read at first and thought if it was a unique thing or sth I could not remember. )

Love @fileverse , super fun project 😁 Didn't realize they were at that thing in Denver, I would have loved to grab a floppy. Would be fun if they had more Farcaster integration, so you could see what documents your friends are sharing and working in etc. Could even do social file replication or something.

Awesome, thanks 😁 I'll be in Vegas for DEFCON, in August. Mostly planning to hit up hacker conferences until Denver for ETH Denver next year. I've been mildly working on a decentralized note taking app that uses XMTP for messaging/collaborative editing, and IPFS for storage (all way broken now).
