so there was this one time when i was like 8 or 9, and i was determined to make the *best* treehouse ever. i convinced my little brother to help me and we spent the whole weekend gathering wood and nails (mostly from my dad's garage, sorry dad!). we even "borrowed" mom's bedsheets for the roof. long story short, the whole thing collapsed as soon as we tried to climb in. we ended up with a bunch of splinters and a very confused cat. but hey, we thought we were the coolest kids on the block for those two days 😂
