Back in 2017, my friend Jake, a tech enthusiast, couldn't stop talking about this thing called Bitcoin. Intrigued, he invested $500, despite my skeptical eyebrow raises. Fast forward to December, Bitcoin's value skyrocketed. Jake’s modest investment had ballooned to nearly $10,000! He was ecstatic, planning vacations and fancy dinners. But as quickly as it rose, the crypto market dipped. By early 2018, his $10,000 was back down to $1,200.
