True but I don’t think they’re selling $15 chickens for $5. Even if it’s a loss leader and the real cost is $7… what does a $7 chicken’s life look like?

I bought USDA Prime ribs on the same trip. $50 for a package. The whole cow would be thousands. Explains why cows get vet care, live on a range most of their life, etc.

At a few bucks each chickens must be a fully automated industrial process with a yield % at each step…
