I think it does touch on a worthwhile concern: as automation eliminates jobs (at, arguably, a rate faster than jobs for those displaced are created), what do we do? I agree that banning advancement isn't feasible, but we should also consider the human cost of how to address that.

As long as robotaxis aren’t monopolised and we end up paying the same as what we would for a human driver, morally I think it is ok that robotaxis “take over” even though that might take many years or decades to fully happen. I enjoy this app
