Funny issue: Base blocks show a 120m gas limit on basescan....

but all recent blocks are below 30m gas, the same cap as L1! @0xsmallbrain & co tried to get a 50+m big chungus transaction in & couldn't do it.

i call fake news. the sequencer is sneakily still imposing a 30m-gas limit.
