SEO websites will be dead soon AI takes text-based websites and gives their contents back to users in more useful and tailored ways but they can’t do the same thing with video content (which is a form of entertainment) tl;dr- bloggers done. vloggers and podcasters mostly safe

to expand on this point: people watch video content as a form of entertainment while AI can scrape some of this info, the video still has entertainment value there is a premium for enjoyable entertainment over pure information that is what i’m getting at

the idea that blogs exist just to provide easily summarized information is a testament to both the sad state of blogging in the public zeitgeist and a lack of interesting blogs on your radar. almost everything I read on blogs would be worthless if summarized. it’s about enjoying reading and the entertainment of storytelling. if AI can kill bullet-pointed seo garbage how-tos, I’m fine with that. but I doubt they’ll kill real writing. if anything, the reduction in meaningless drivel being read may even lead people to be more open to reading for pleasure
