Help me understand: isn’t solar a dead end? The sun doesn’t always shine, we need to 10,000x our battery capacity to run the world on solar, and we’d be strip mining the Earth for those battery metals. 

Nuclear is the only way. Obsession with solar only furthers oil (see Germany).

What about harnessing the sunlight direct from space to have it 24/7 and 365/365 days, that would cut off the problem of storage 🤔
