I often hear people say they want to move out of the city to raise kids.

But ironically the best place I can think of for my future kids to grow up would be Manhattan. That’s what I would have wanted for myself if I had known it was an option.

Ultimate lifestyle for a kid is being able to walk outside their door and go play with friends w/o needing a chaperone or driver. Or bike to school/soccer practice/ etc. Manhattan is probably better than most suburbs on this front. America in general seems very far behind other countries tho.
