Anchored somewhere between IDM, Detroit Electro, Drill, hypnotic Trance and futuristic Y2K aesthetics, Mathis' music not only has drive on the dance floor, but also an element of hope and utopia - especially in times of hard techno hammering away, he gives us a refreshing reminder that the club is a positivist space for big gestures and big feelings.
