It’s so weird that we stopped adding new standard tech to the house after the microwave. We should all have a rack or two of servers in our house and decentralization would reign supreme.

Actually, if someone can afford to hire an av subcontractor, that’s pretty much how it goes—a sever rack rather than a Mac Pro, but still. It’s really the aftermarket consumer who has to retrofit a wireless system with an infinite number of things over their domicile and lose hair when the router can’t find light switch #14. 

But yeah, why does it need to be so damn complicated?
