Blockchain is a continuation of the trends we’ve seen in Uber, AirBnB, Amazon etc. Trust is moving from individual service providers to networks of new service providers. For money, trust in individual banks can be replaced with trust in a blockchain network.

To play devil’s advocate, I would say it’s moving in the opposite direction of Uber, AirBnB, Amazon, etc They all operate on central servers. If you’re banned from Uber, you lose all ride share privileges in every city. We’re moving back to open, permissionless systems, like hailing a cab in a new city
