as someone who has no idea what this app is about, I beg to differ: 1. asking me to grant the app access to my notifications before I get to interact with the content and make up my mind about its value proposition is a fundamental blunder. what are the notifications for? 2. not showing what the app is about before people sign up is going to result in a massive drop-off rate right there 3. creating my profile... for what purpose exactly, since I don't know what I'm signing up for? 4. right after finishing the sign-up, I'm left to my own devices, but without knowing the premise of the app, what am I supposed to do? side note: things flying up in the background are cool, but have been overdone and can be distracting to a lot of people

In this case the user did know what it's for and therefore had context for each step though. (if @dwr.eth didn't know what pump.fun is I'd be worried) So, in that case it's a decent flow, imo. Just making a wallet under the hood should only get points in the crypto crowd, but not in a general onboarding tier listing. FWIW, trading platforms have been generating wallets without fanfare for a couple years now.

Who is the target audience for this onboarding vs who is pump.fun hoping to onboard? People who already know what it is, or people who don’t know? I wager those who do know, won’t have trouble powering through a more explicit onboarding. Those who don’t know it are likely the ones you want to convert. If the goal is to preach to the converted crowd then this whole thread has no point.
