capture click events through a post request could follow almost the exact same spec and interaction flow as button presses, specify a post_url_onclick, the message would just include x and y coordinates instead of a button index this could enable way more immersive and flexible user experiences

I feel like the DOM also had some way to specify that a link around an image should include click coordinates in the link's query string? But maybe that was something built by the specific website I used that on
