I use NixOS through orbstack. My entire config is this repo and I can take it anywhere and get up and running in less than a minute github.com/o-az/nixos-config

Interesting, so you donât use macOS at all and just take your NixOS VM with you on whatever Mac you happen to be using?

I still use macOS but not as much as I used to. Soon I won't use it at all
