something i’ve observed anecdotally and loosely validated qualitatively is that someone’s reply:quotecast ratio when contributing to a conversation correlates to their ego (how they see themselves vs the rest of the community). not always a bad thing, but i’ll leave it at that.

study people who reply > quotecast

Study people who quote cast, reply with quote cast of said quote cast, then reply to said quote cast with said reply (which quote casts said quote cast)

uh... replies don't show up in feeds so if you want more visibility, you quote cast. It specially sucks when peeps don't heart/reply to your replies because that reduces your ranking if i'm not mistaken
