Visited Marcelo Garcia academy in NYC for the first time 

Pros: everyone is nice, rolls were good

Cons: $50 Open Mat Fee… 10 min traditional warmup… 1 hour class of just drilling…

yeah…. 2 free trial classes as a first time visitor but open mat doesn’t count. the first class was also just one hour of straight drilling…

When visiting a high-profile gym, ask about the price for a private. It will cost, but you’ll get the experience you are looking for.

See any other big names in class? I would imagine his school is full of studs.

Only recognized Matheus Diniz who taught the drilling class which was cool, but definitely a ton of great grapplers
