Ran into a water snake while swimming at the pond today. They are pretty harmless but I still decided I was done swimming for the day

No we don’t have those here. It was just a northern water snake which can still bite you but it’s not venomous. It was pissed about something

damn! from now on, I will only swim in indoor pools!😆

Oh no, that's why I am afraid of going into the water or areas where snakes can be found, I hate snakes

I even see these harmless snakes on land. But unconsciously, we humans are afraid of this creature and prefer to run away

It’s a spring fed pond in a ritzy town that we have a membership to because a relative retired as an employee of the town. They check it every day and it usually does end up closing halfway through the season for bacteria (not the flesh eating kind)
