I'm trying to understand why X/TikTok etc. have such negative spirals from comments. Like one negative comment encourages another ten people to be negative. Is it just that @farcaster is still a sub culture? Does the mainstream narrative ruin every bit of positivity?

Negativity often breeds more negativity online. Mainstream attention can indeed dilute subcultures on platforms like X/TikTok.
