I’ve previously concluded that audiences need an incentive to engage with and support creators beyond just “good content” - which Degen in its current form provides. 

But also, it’s the simplest form of creator tipping I’ve ever seen, making it a smooth and frictionless way to pay for goods.

I don’t know if that continues to be the case if / when the airdrop cycle ends and tipping becomes de-incentivised. But in its current form, it’s an entire creator economy on its own with feedback and benefit loops for both sides of the marketplace.

With the right structure (mirroring ETH) you could have burn mechanisms and issuance mechanisms to keep a constant supply of new DEGEN while managing the inflation.
