I’ve received many reports that friends received spam labels in the last 48 hour with no warning before. Please be extra careful. It appears as if the filters have become more aggressive. Please consider not engaging with accounts that do not engage back. Your engagement data can be seen on the bottom right. Link to a second tool using the “What is Spam” button. We as users definitely don’t affect the algo. It’s people’s behavior that triggers it. But we don’t know all the factors. We are just guessing based on data we see. I think replying to people who don’t follow you and interact back is a big component.

... they need to change it if this is one of the main factors... new users wont survive at all and Farcaster wont survive without new blood in the long run

Channel changes will fix a lot of this. If you’re invited to a channel, you can’t be labeled to Spam because you’re invited.

i hope so. but still if a new user wants to join a channel what should that person do? i think most of them wont be gated like gaming or food channel. we need to wait and see how it will play out i think

Every channel is run by a different host. We’ll have to wait and see how each host determines to run their own channel. I think more people should create channels.
