Did I miss a big channel update? 

I wrote a little piece about @ethereumfilm and was trying to post it in Ethereum-related channels, but I'm not a member so I can't post it there.

I'm slightly confused because I thought the prevailing advice up until now was to cast into new and different channels to expand reach and engagement. 

Seems like making all channels members-only will just compound the fishbowl effect.

Interesting, thanks. I obviously wasn't paying attention and was unaware of the changes. Sounds like the upside is a better feed and the downside is another step when posting (if you are trying to post in a new channel)?

I was skeptical at first but seeing the benefits of the new changes for better content … the issue is some channels haven’t caught up with the new parameters from last Fridays and some people are caught in limbo … some channels have backlog of application to process via DM 🤦🏽‍♂️ .. but some channels have frames that u can click to join easy ..
