hey guys i need your help. i want to get @vitalik.eth to try beehiiv for a newsletter. i feel like shouting to a void of twitter would get nowhere, but farcaster is where it’s at. beehiiv is 1) web3 friendly 2) built for growth and 3) absolutely the best newsletter platform in existence by a long shot.

It was a “Head of” role. the TC package at Big Tech can reach those levels for L6-8 for sure, but when you start comparing the Big Tech of web3 to the Big Tech of web2 I think the comparison falls short on many accounts. Even volatility in web2 doesn’t go from $243 - $10 in 12 months without bankruptcy

It’s almost like the financial systems that we all thought were early, volatile, and full of risk were early, volatile, and full of risk.

I interviewed for a role at Solana earlier this year with a salary package of over $700,000. There’s a reason the rest of the world keeps saying “I told you so” when crypto crashes and conspiracies surface.

Mass adoption starts by understanding the masses, and the masses are not on Twitter. The masses are users of TikTok, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, Quora, Discord, WhatsApp, WeChat, Telegram, and none of the above. “Masses” refers to a LOT of people. If you’re only on Twitter you’re in a bub

I see it a little differently. Web3 as a noun describes something that is philosophically unattainable in web2. Marketing is semantics. Reality is what web3 struggles to make appropriately self evident. Many in web3 believe that what is the case philosophically has already been attained in reality; but this is false.

Decision making, PMF strategic thinking, C-suite, marketing strategy execution, business planning and fundraising— the list goes on. It’s not a fade on web3. I just wish more people would speak truthfully about how similar they are at this phase in development.

I’ve worked for several really successful web3 projects and what most people don’t want you to know— but is absolutely the case— is that *most* successful web3 projects are nearly indistinguishable from web2 when you peek behind the curtain. Don’t fight the messenger boy.

In web3 I’ve been a marketing lead, director of growth, community lead, and marketing manager for 4 different startups. I have a lot of insight in the space because of the types of projects I’ve helped (crypto, NFT, music NFT) and feel like I need to share my learnings somewhere that doesn’t get vacuumed into a
