$degen sticks out as interesting to me. Accomplishes a lot of the same things a normal token would - bootstraps engagement, rewards early users, etc. - yet clearly has no relationship to the success of farcaster and gives people something to speculate on.

Wrote about this a little while back. I think we will see more ecosystems and applications bootstrapping this way.
