Good questions! I'd say it varies. Depends on several contextual factors, including *where* I write the idea (e.g., Scrivener or Notion page, Paragraph editor, piece of scratch paper, etc.)

Sometimes it makes things easier for future me when I return to it. Other times it gets buried in my drafts and forgotten.

Fair. What's the impact of that on the idea? Does it just anchor it, making it easier to return to? Does it give it new impetus or direction?
