In just four days of talking story on Farcaster, I learned about more casters with connections to Hawaii like @bay-photography's dad in Hilo or @jonathancolton and a famous local food blogger, who is an old friend of mine. I found out that @reneecampbell and @sleepypenguin.eth are both the baby in their big families, like me and share the forever young gene that comes with that experience. 😂

I learned the personal stories of @fredha.eth, walked the journey of native populations with @chicbangs.eth and @lostfleurs. So many stories around Korean children, parents, hapa (mixed ancestry) kids, which was surprising and fun with @manuwilliams, @investanything, @jessi.

BUT maybe the most mind blowing was @danicaswanson who turns out to be the sister of a very good friend of mine. Also, we met! Decades ago when we were growing up. 

So many more examples of shared experiences by just talking to each other and sharing our stories. Looking forward to more. Thank you everyone for joining in the conversation.

A twist on the Farcaster URL-to-IRL pipeline:

In recent months I've been getting to know @justbuild via text chats on FC. 

Only this week did I realize I'd already met him IRL long ago back in the days when I lived in Hawai'i, and he'd been a good friend of my brother's in high school.

We'll be meeting (again, it turns out!) in Nov. for the first Honolulu IRL Farcaster meetup.

My brother texted me yesterday and said he thinks it's been around 30 years since your paths last crossed! 

I'm having a birthday-lunch with him on Saturday and we're gonna talk about Hawai'i-related stuff, so maybe I'll have more tales to tell in the talk-story channel soon.

Yeah, that sounds about right. Incredible. Please, please send him my fondest expression of love and friendship. I hope is doing well.
