All the folks posting about how much they exercise got me excited to hit the gym. Today's workout: Installing a woodchip path. First up was a grape hoe warmup. About 1.5 hours of methodically chopping the grass out for the path really gets the shoulders and core warmed up.

Next up is legs: You gotta shovel all that wet sod into the wheelbarrow, and if you're not using your legs for this your back will not be happy with you! Shovel-squats followed up with a wheelbarrow push are A-tier. Then, and this is crucial, you gotta let the chickens inspect your work to make sure your levels are all correct and you didn't miss any roots.

Next step is stretching and restoring your back after all that work. Do some cat-cows while you crawl around on your hands and knees and staple down the landscape fabric. The dog trainer is really helpful to keep you motivated throughout this workout.

Final step in the workout is crack a beer and enjoy the fruits of your labor! Exercise with an end result! Now that's my kind of Saturday! Ok, I'm gonna go finish the rest of this beer. You gotta rehydrate after a good workout!

Sounds a lot more enjoyable than working out in a stuffy gym to me! 😄 Nice work. Was hoping for another one of your backyard project threads. I'm taking a few notes for future interview questions... lol.

Haha yeah I can't stand going to the gym. I'll work outside instead any day of the week!
