Creating a new collection, and how choosing NOT to "Mint first edition" (thus opening up initial NFT to First Minter,) preserves your ability to add to the collection in the future using either approach.

I can't figure out if I set something up wrong in some of my collections on /zora because I end up having to be the first minter to create an NFT and I don't always want that. I'll do some digging, but any thoughts on this are appreciated.

Sounds like it. What we're talking about is expressed in the Zora support docs as:

"All editions uploaded in one batch will have the same settings and mint configuration."

But the way @seeingblue described it above makes it a lot clearer!

Just created my first free collection and left the box unchecked.

Thanks for tagging me @danicaswanson. I assume I did this with some collections and not others, and that's why I have the discrepancy.
