On Warpcast, the algo won't help feed you unless you feed the algo first. Is this really the best system we could think of?

Fair question. TBH I'm not even sure the WC algo will help feed you even when you feed it handsomely first.

*nod* I've even seen casts in my "following" feed from people I definitely do not follow, have never followed, and would never want to follow. 

I thought that feed was supposed to be limited to only the accounts I've actually opted in to follow.

I followed no one for months. It’s eye opening. 

Now, the recency bias is so real. It also picks 10 or so people and shows me EVERYTHING they cast even if I don’t interact with any of it. It just LOVES them.

Observation: often when I'm short on time/attention but want to read Farcaster, I don't even scroll my home feed at all. 

I just visit profiles of voices I trust the most and check their 'casts+replies' and/or 'likes' tabs for quick pointers to quality threads.

I've been doing this a long time.

I've been doing something similar as a work-around more and more often lately.

I mostly navigate via profiles and channels, and then build up a notification stream of return comments, so that becomes my “feed”
