i tend to work like this as well, but weeks instead of months. it is really tough! i get very obsessive with whatever i’m doing

and there is a long history of artists working with cofounders! generally it’s a wife who takes care of everything from feeding the artist to all the admin work and arranging gallery shows

I've often said that the one thing that would make the biggest difference in my creative output is just having a responsible adult (or two, or three) nearby with whom I could share the load of basic life maintenance duties. 

Doesn't even have to be a wife... haha.

If you would live in the same place, you would have to work less to pay the bills, which also gives you more time. I often thing about this.

Indeed. I've been trying to set up something like this for many, many years. I survived an intentional community attempt that collapsed on the launching pad about 20 years ago, and I haven't really had another viable opportunity since. More recently I've been trying to find a smaller land-mate situation, so we'll see.

It is not easy to share a home. But when it works, it so much worth it. Fingers crossed to your future land-mate.
