Today I set up a saved search on Zillow that will regularly send me new listings of 2BR, single-story homes with basements in Eugene, OR.

I'm not in a position to buy a house anytime soon, and even if I were I'd prefer to work with an existing homeowner wanting to subdivide their lot or rent their backyard cottage/basement ADU or something like that. 

But I did say that this year I'd start taking steps toward moving to Eugene, and it can't hurt to get a sense of this corner of the market, right? Hope springs eternal.

It was lovely. Lamb Cottage is actually available for rent to anyone in the community, and it's within easy walking distance of where my closest friend in Eugene currently lives. 

Couldn't help but think that it might make a nice place for a Black Stone Sanctuary gathering someday...
