I read a little bit of Greek and Roman mythology every week. 
Myths were created as a means to explain nature, such as days full of intuition and imagination rather than science and reason, lightning, solar eclipses, and it seems that they came together to become Greek and Roman mythology. So it's fun because it consists of more realistic and real stories, not stories that worship or praise gods.
