Rehearsal s2e1: Profoundly moving intro & premise, kinda got hijacked into some superficial individual-quirk mocking, imo. Something that came to mind: Many sensors on a plane already include "triple redundancy" so there can be a tie breaker. Why not also for pilots? Also, that power imbalance between pilot & 1st officer is obviously ruinous.

Yeah man I mean it's a whole rabbit hole. I could probably do a 30 minute rant introducing someone to the Nathan Fielderverse. I'll try to keep it tight here: He started doing joke news on Youtube, then Canadian TV, then got hired to be a supporting role on Jon Benjamin Has a Van, then really broke out on his own in Nathan For You, in which he displayed a mastery of execution that is not typical of a joke hidden camera show. He leaned into that aptitude as he began producing shows too, like "How to with Jon Wilson" and "The Curse", but "The Rehearsal" is his latest standalone showrunner project. It's very strange. Season one had people pretty divided whether it was exploitive and cruel or whether it was shining a light on the real dynamics of reality television. Season two he started by taking on a very serious new topic: airline safety, and why copilots don't intervene during catastrophes. It's to be seen how he can balance actually addressing this problem while "being a comedy show".
