Just putting this out into the world for devs:

Please, for the love of your sanity, build on farcaster instead of X.

X's API is getting more and more cooked by the day. Currently logged in on an organization account ($10k/yr) which has automated affiliate accounts ($500/mo each) continually getting shadowbanned.

Those automated accounts are operated under X's Pro API ($5k/mo), and their shadowbans get lifted after human verification.

Read that again. Demanding human verification (captcha etc) to lift a shadowban on an AUTOMATED ACCOUNT verified to be under an organization with a spend of $70k per year.

There is no warning given the accounts were nuked - someone eventually has to say "oh, I can't view tweets under account x anymore" (usually community), and then the process begins.

About 50% of the time, the captcha can't be completed as it requires an email verification code - and the email never arrives.

Just don't build there. It is 110% cooked, and getting worse.

this is exactly why farcaster is a better place to build. no paywalls just to keep your product alive, and no bs hoops to jump through. devs actually have control over what they build, and users aren’t at the mercy of a broken system. 

if you’re still thinking of building on x, good luck dealing with that mess.
