So sick of all the performative social media posting and shaming whenever a disaster strikes, mostly happens on Instagram Like just because someone is sharing about something non-fire related doesn't mean they aren't educating themselves and doing what they can to help Meanwhile the people posting "lmk how I can help" and "thoughts and prayers" are usually the ones who are doing the least to actually help (same with posting black squares back in 2020)

There’s definitely some kind of balance there, if it is converting to help and donate to the fams who have suffered it is good, otherwise well. Who in the hell is gonna do the homework? 0.001%? Every russian strike on ukraine story flash is followed by a link to contribute to something generally focused on stopping this. And it works good. Lots of people donate and do something.

Yeah I totally think people should share resources, I just hate this unspoken rule that you're not allowed to post about anything else or you're considered insensitive
