Four years ago today, Rocky came into my life. In fact, he was my first rescue. That morning someone had abandoned him in an empty house across from mine. I heard him crying but couldn’t see him. Later we found him in the bushes, took him home, gave him water, food, and his first bath—he was covered in fleas, but with shampoo and flea treatments, we got rid of them.
At the time I was struggling, unemployed, and living where pets weren’t allowed 🚫 so I tried to find him a home. But no one came forward. Two months later I moved to a pet-friendly place, my situation improved, and I took him to the vet 🙏🏻 thankfully, he was healthy. At six months, he was neutered.
Since then, Rocky has been an amazing, smart, and gentle cat 😻 He even learned tricks like giving his paw and standing on two legs.
