Remember, there were people out there who believed that ETH would not pump due to "liquidity fragmentation" and "poor UX". These are two very well known issues that are actively being worked on by many powerhouse L2 teams. Don't get caught up in short term shilling games.

I don't think interoperability between L2s is as important. 3rd parties will likely serve this need but there's no incentive for L2s to be interoperable.

I don't think that it is do or die today, but I do believe that it is in the best interest of L2 teams to work towards this over the long term If they don't, It becomes more likely that a different ecosystem will fill that void and eventually rival Ethereum and the L2 ecosystem.

@0xsapien the incentive is to prevent Ethereum from losing, and to do this, they need to offer seamless UX (interoperability) that is just as good as using any other blockchain, near zero gas costs, and a high degree of security and decentralization.
