A leader should be able to do everyone else’s job poorly. Emphasis on poorly, this is in case they have to, or to ask the hard questions If they can do the job better, then it was not a good hire

I witnessed a learned this lesson from a family friend. He used to run a traveling business, but when one of their drivers showed some attitude, he fired him on the spot and led the rest of the delegation himself. It felt very empowering to see an entrepreneur able to do all the jobs in their organization.
